  3. 1. Decide if you need a power source that is hot with the ignition key on or with the ignition key off. This will depend on what accessory you are going to add to your vehicle. Use a voltmeter or a test light to find the fuse that is hot with the key on or with the key off.

  5. 2. Notice the color of the Access-A-Fuse (yellow). Now remove the same color fuse from your fuse panel that you previously tested with your test light or voltmeter.

  7. 3. Flip up the Accessory terminal (if it isn’t up already) on the Access-a-Fuse. Push your female spade connector onto the extended terminal. Now insert the Access-A-Fuse into the fuse slot where you previously removed a fuse. Make sure that the extended terminal is on the Load side of the fuse panel and not on the Feed side of the fuse panel. Don’t be confused!
